How did your Sunday Art turn out? And are you ready for the next theme?
We hope you had a chance you create something new with last week’s theme: colours. If you did, great! Hope you remembered to tag it with #sundayArt, too.
This week the theme is Shapes. Why not start now jotting out some ideas that might inspire you to come up with a doodle, a sketch, or what ever you want based around the idea of shapes.
If you get stuck for ideas, try this. Write down the word Shapes (or shape). Then around it write down words that you associate with that word. It could be synonyms, antonyms, or different meanings of the word. It could be words that remind you of the word Shape (e.g., Sharp, Snake and Tape all sound like Shape, while Round, Square and Wavy are all words that are types of shapes). Once you get that, try associating images or colours or other things with the word. For example, a green wavy snake. Now think of how you might represent that with a painting, a photo, etc. If you start brainstorming and freely associating, you can come up with lots of visual ideas that you can work with.
Whatever you decide to do, have fun! We look forward to knowing about what you have created.
